BIKES WE CARRY

Yawp specializes in only steel bicycles and is Denver's premier Surly and Linus dealer. Swing by to learn more.

SURLY

SURLY

"If you like the way your bike rides, it’s an awesome bike."

--From Surly's website

Surly offers about 20 different bicycles (see them here).

We carry most of them in stock (and have many sizes of each).

It might be easy to mistake the brand for cantankerous champions of outdated steel bikes, but in truth Surly is a pioneer. They produce some of the toughest, most reliable, functional, and fun bikes out there. They don't hype you up and they don't put stuff on your bike that you don't need.

Surlys are easy to customize, too, so you can make your bike do and be exactly what you want it to do/be (do-bee do-bee doo).

GUERRILLA GRAVITY

GUERRILLA GRAVITY

"Where does the name come from?

Guerrilla: a  community driven effort to spark change.

Gravity: The fun part of mountain biking."

--ridegg.com

There are many brands out there making really great mountain bikes. When we decided to add a full-suspension brand to our lineup, we looked carefully at many of them. Not only was Guerrilla Gravity the only company that checked all of our boxes, but they are made in Denver. That's pretty darn cool.

You may be curious about those checked boxes. Here's what we were looking for and found in Guerrilla Gravity: they ride incredibly well. They do exactly what you want them to do. Who could ask for more? There are some very popular bikes out there that cost twice as much and perform no better. They don't break; nor will they break the bank--there are several build packages to choose from, and each model can be built with an affordable and solid "Ride" build package.

You just can't find better mountain bikes.

FAIRDALE

FAIRDALE

"At Fairdale, our goal is to share what makes bicycle riding special with as many people as possible. We believe that through purposeful design we can make bikes that are easier and more fun for you to ride -- bikes that will help you experience the "magic" of riding.

We try hard not to over complicate our bikes, since that can often cloud the very reason people like to ride bikes. The simple machine that is the bicycle is fin in large part because it is simple. Of course, as a rider's experience grows they're likely to have different demands for their bicycle and so that's why we have different models spanning different intended uses. Even so, every bike we design is based around bringing out that core feeling we love so much."

SALSA

SALSA

As you may know, Salsa's motto is "adventure by bike." What does that mean? It can be difficult to describe, because adventure means different things to different people. Some people consider adventure to be spending months on their bikes, traversing a country. For others, adventure is a full day at Buff Creek. Saying "adventure by bike" is a little bit like saying "adventure by pants." You can adventure in almost any kind of pants. Obviously, some pants are better than others if adventuring in pants is your thing. And that's where Salsa comes in.

We like adventures. As a shop, we've been fortunate to have some grand adventures both big and small. We're excited to add Salsa to our lineup because they'll nicely compliment what we already carry, and help support the part of the shop that is oriented toward adventure.

You can see Salsa's current lineup on their website here, and you can read our blog post about Salsa here.
