The Blackthorn 125 is Salsa's trail bike, designed as a well-balanced machine for riders who want the speed and agility to handle anything the trail may bring. It's fluid in tight sections and precise when navigating technical descents, excelling at going farther without compromising the joy of the ride. The bike features a 6061-T6 aluminum frame with Split Pivot suspension design that delivers 125mm of efficient travel, fully active under braking and supportive throughout its stroke. This is paired with a 140mm suspension fork for balanced performance across varied terrain. The Split Pivot+ design philosophy allows riders to switch travel class to the 145mm rear/160mm front travel found on the Blackthorn 145 by simply swapping out the shock link and fork. A rear flip chip adjusts the head tube angle and bottom bracket height to accommodate varying terrain, wheel sizes, and personal preference. The frame includes practical features such as an integrated strap location for tubes and multitools, top tube mounts for bags or computer mounts, and molded frame protection. It fits two bottles on all sizes and accommodates up to 29 x 2.5" tires while being compatible with mixed wheel sizes and most coil shocks.
